Dhanavallabh School organized an Orientation Program for Parents to familiarize them with the school’s philosophy, policies, and practices. The session highlighted the crucial role of collaboration between parents, educators, and students in ensuring holistic development. The following important points were discussed:
Class Teacher’s Role and Student Observation
- Every Class Teacher will adopt and mentor all the students of her class.
- Students will be observed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis by encouraging curiosity, asking questions, and developing imaginative skills to enhance learning.
- Teachers will interact with parents fortnightly or as required to discuss progress and areas of concern.
- Educators will maintain detailed student records in a prescribed format and hand them over to the next class teacher at the end of the academic session.

- Punctuality
- Discipline
- Personal Hygiene
- General Behaviour
- Academic Performance (assessments & report cards)
- Participation in activities and competitions
- Creativity and Achievements
- Absenteeism
- Overall Personality Development
Birthday Policy
- Students are encouraged to donate a book to the school library on their birthday.
- No birthday parties will be held in classrooms.
- No exchange of gifts between students and educators will be entertained.
- Parents are requested not to offer gifts or favours to educators or school authorities.
Code of Conduct for Students
- Students must reach school on time and attend the morning assembly.
- Absence without written permission from parents/guardians is not allowed. Half-day leave is discouraged except in emergencies.
- No student may leave school during working hours without written approval from the Headmistress.
- Students are expected to maintain cleanliness and proper grooming. Uniforms must be neat, nails trimmed, teeth clean, and hair properly maintained. Nursery students should carry an extra set of clothes.
Code of Conduct for Parents
- Show respect and support towards your child, educators, and school.
- Avoid negative remarks about any educator or authority.
- Maintain a positive attitude and cooperate for the betterment of the child.
- Encourage regularity, punctuality, and adherence to discipline.
- Support the school’s policy of speaking in English and encourage the same at home.
- If parents or authorized persons are picking up students, an authority letter and a valid identity proof must be submitted at the school reception.
Examination and Evaluation System
- The school follows CCE (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation), covering both scholastic and co-scholastic development.
- Academic Year is divided into two terms:
- Term I: April – October
- Term II: November – March
- Assessments include both Summative and Formative components, in line with the National Education Policy.
Health and Safety
- Parents must inform the school authorities of any medical conditions with valid doctor’s prescriptions.
- Students suffering from contagious or serious illnesses must not attend school until a medical fitness certificate is produced.
